Thurgoland Community Choir is thrilled to announce the
launch of a new and exciting project, "Singing for Well-being." Made possible through
generous funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and Penistone Ward Alliance
Fund, this initiative aims to bring the community together through the joy of singing and to
promote overall well-being.
This completely free initiative for participants is open to individuals aged 18 and above
who may have an interest in or a passion for singing but haven't yet found the courage to
join a choir. It is also designed for those seeking to meet new people, make friends, and
explore the health benefits of singing. The project is particularly welcoming to those dealing
with long COVID, asthma, respiratory issues, or mental health concerns. Additionally,
individuals who are feeling lonely, bereaved, or are new to the area, are encouraged to
participate.
