Dear Oxspring Resident
It is without doubt that we are about to enter unchartered territory on account of the Corona Virus outbreak. We have heard today there will be limits on socialising for vulnerable people (those over 70 or those with predisposing conditions) in order to try and avoid them catching this virus. Also there are those people who have to self- isolate either because they have symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has them. So, this is where we all come in – I would like to think that there were enough of us to offer support to all the vulnerable residents of our village during self-isolation, with things such as offering to pick up shopping, posting mail, collecting urgent supplies such as prescriptions, or just a friendly phone call. The community spirit in Oxspring is second to none and I feel sure that working together we will be able to achieve it.
This is happening throughout the UK and there is a form which we have attached which can be downloaded and printed off, to be completed and the contact details given to an elderly/vulnerable person.
In order not to duplicate or miss anyone I am trying to coordinate things and keep a record of who has been given a contact form, and I am happy to do the leg work and deliver all the forms. However, any offers of help will be gratefully received.
Please let me know if you are willing to help by e-mailing me – firstname.lastname@example.org , or message/What’s app me on 07899937842
